Ingredients
1boxWhite Cake Mix Prepared like instruction except for the 1 cup water- use 1/2 Amaretto, 1/4 cherry juice , & 1/4 water
3 Eggs
1/2cupVegetable Oil
1/2 cup Amaretto
1/4 cupMaraschino Cherry Juice
1/4 cup Maraschino Cherries chopped for cake mix
1/4 cup Maraschino Cherries sliced- for Icing Layer
1tubCream Cheese Icing
1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
1 can Cooking Spray
Instructions
Mix box cake according to instructions with the exception of the water. Use 1/2 cup Amaretto, 1/4 cup cherry Juice and 1/4 water instead. At the end stir in chopped cherries.
Spray your flower bundt pan with cooking spray for easy release and fill with half of the cake batter.
Add trivet to your Instant Pot and fill base with 1/2 cup of water. Then place your cake pan on top of trivet.
Place lid on top and seal, set to High Pressure Manual Cook for 23 minutes. Allow the cake to Natural Vent when done and rest for 20 minutes before removing lid.
Let cake cool completely before slicing in half and icing the middle. This prevents icing run off.
Add sliced cherries and place top of cake back on, then dust with powdered sugar.
You can use a flour sifter for a more uniform sugar dusting pattern.
Notes
This recipe will YIELD two small cakes. ONE box makes two cakes using a 3 cup pan. If using a 7' pan will make one cakeĀ
