My life is forever changed. I will never roll a tortilla the same again! It’s genius, and so simple, I’m surprised I didn’t think of it on my own. I don’t know who to thank, but I just had to share this trick with you guys and a few ideas for what you can put in your tortillas to give this tortilla wrap hack a try.

Classic Turkey

Grab some turkey, cheese, lettuce, and cut tomatoes (or mustard maybe? If you don’t like tomatoes.) Make these your own creations. Add each ingredient to one-quarter of the tortilla. Cut a slit from the center of the tortilla to the outer rim, and fold it over, one quarter at a time.


Scramble some eggs, grill some bacon or Canadian bacon, chorizo or beans, avocado, tomatoes… green onions! So many ideas. Put your favorite four into one-quarter of the tortilla at a time and wrap.

I even buttered the outside of my tortilla after wrapping and grilling it up a bit. So tasty.


You can also leave out the meat and make these just as tasty. I used Havarti cheese (my favorite), pesto, avocado, and tomatoes. You could use black beans in place of the pesto to add protein.

The Combinations are Endless!

You could use the meal prep chicken I made in the instant pot in these, adding baby spinach, shredded cheese, and ranch dressing would really make a great wrap, too. Get creative with these. Heck! You could even make a fun spin on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches using this trick. I bet kids would love getting a wrap to change things up and make them more interesting. Plus, no bread crust to cut off and throw away. =)

Tortilla Wrap Hack

Course Appetizer, Dinner, Lunch, Main Course, Snack


  • Tortillas
  • 4 Fillings of your choice


  • Cut a straight line from the center of the tortilla out to the rim.

  • Place one ingredient in each quarter of the tortilla
    Canadian bacon, shredded cheese, scrambled eggs, and chorizo are placed in the four corners of the tortilla that has been cut from the center out to the edges and is ready to be wrapped
  • Lift the side closest to the cut and fold over the second filling.
  • Fold again, around the tortilla until you have all fillings inside the wrap
  • Enjoy!


If you choose to make this a ‘hot sandwich’ spray the outside of the tortilla with butter cooking spray. Place in a skillet or grill pan until golden brown on both sides.
