Dr. Pepper Instant Pot Pork Chops
Y’all ready to lick your chops on this recipe? Oh, trust us when we tell you, you will be. Not only will you love these Dr. Pepper Instant Pot pork chops, but so will the kids.
We have made this recipe for years in the slow cooker. Now, with our Instant Pot-Pressure Cookers, there is no need to simmer these chops for 6 hours. In less than one hour from start to finish, you will have the most amazing pork chops you ever tasted. I’ll bet our firstborn on it:)
NOTE: You can also use this same recipe with chicken breasts

For this recipe, you only need a few ingredients. Plum, or peach is optional but it does give the chops just a little extra sweetness, and they look pretty when serving.

You will need a can of Dr. Pepper, one sweet onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and some cornstarch.
Pork chops in the Instant Pot are fantastic. Pork tenderloins are as well. We tend to like a hint of sweetness when making pork chops. It’s all a personal preference and simply nice to change things up from the traditional ways we grew up on. Don’t get us wrong, we still love a good ole fashioned breaded pork chop once in a while.

For this recipe, you can use bone-in or boneless pork chops. I lean on boneless more often because I feel you get a little more meat, however, with the bone, you may get a little more flavor. Again, it’s all a personal preference, and hey whatever is on sale these days.
