Easy Instant Pot chocolate chip banana cake
Hi there friends! It doesn’t get any easier than what I am about to share today. So easy, that we decided to jump on Facebook live HERE to give a quick demo. I talk longer than the recipe takes HA!
It was so nice to see everyone join in. I know I needed a smile, and I knew exactly where to go grab one. Thanks for sharing yours with us on the regular.
If you have been around for a while, you know we are huge fans of cheater version cakes, cake bites, pancake bites and more. Especially now with the kiddos home, we need fast, tasty grab and go snacks around. I’ve been thoughtful with my online selections to be sure I have enough planned out for the week. These essential workers are all working so hard to help us and one another.

The last time Martha White mixes were on sale, long before this whole situation, I grabbed one of each. I just love to have them on hand because all you need is a half a cup of milk to whip one up. You can, of course, doctor them up with nuts, bananas, fruit, raisins, more chocolate chips, etc.
For this quick Instant Pot chocolate chip banana cake, all you will need is one package of chocolate chip Martha White or Betty Crocker package (7.4 oz) one ripe banana, 1/4 cup of walnuts or pecans. The extra is optional. You can make this plain just the same way I will be sharing the directions.

We love using the 3 cup flower pan not only for mini cakes, but cornbreads HERE, omeletes HERE, and pancakes HERE.

During my live video, someone asked if I cover my cakes? The answer is NO. I don’t find it necessary. That is NOT water that is collecting on top ever so slightly, it is however vapored from the pressure cooker. It does no harm and does not affect your baked goods at all.

This is a snap of the cake as soon as I opened up the Instant Pot. As you can see, no water pooling on top. Any bit of moisture is quickly dissipated when cooling.

After about five minutes of cooling, you can then invert your pan on a pretty plate and serve.

It does not matter what size pot you use, the time and instructions will be the same. If you use a 7′ inch pan, you may double the recipe packages.
