Bacon wrapped Jalapeno peppers in the Ninja Foodi

Every year we host a super bowl gathering, whether it is a large group of friends or just a small group of our BFFs. One of my husband’s favorite game-time treats is Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers, so this year I decided to give them a go in our Ninja Air Fryer to save a little time.

The ingredients for the filling are super simple, you will need the freshest jalapenos you can find, and preferably not too large, or stuffing gets a little out of control. A nice thick cut Applewood bacon like this one I order from Omaha Steak Company, cream cheese shredded cream, and few spices. My secret is to use a greek cream cheese that adds just a little twang to the mix and pepper jack cheese.

You will want to clean and seed your peppers. For this step, I use a spoon to keep from touching too much of the seeds and plinth. I also wear disposable gloves as well since I wear contact lenses. Believe me, there is nothing worse than touching your eyes after this process.

Place filling inside and roll up your jalapeno with 1/2 a strip of bacon. I highly recommend securing the bacon with a toothpick to prevent it from unraveling during the baking process. I noticed after the first set that the Air Fryer had a tendency to cause the bacon to draw up a bit.

Place the pepper poppers into your Ninja Air Fryer at 390 degrees for 5 minutes. This will allow a nice char on the peppers, bacon, and cream cheese. Serve immediately.
