Hey there friends! Today’s recipe I almost didn’t share. Not because it wasn’t amazing, but because I thought to myself, this is too simple and everyone must know how to make BBQ wings in the Ninja Foodi by now. Then I snapped back into reality and said to myself “no they don’t, we are a lot of newbs learning the Foodi together”
BBQ Chicken Wings made in the Ninja Foodi
For this recipe, I used one 2.5 lb. bag of chicken wings I purchased from Earth Fare. You can of course use any variety of wings. These ones looked a little meatier to us. They were perfect.

Sweet Baby Ray’s is always my go-to BBQ sauce. The sauce is the BOSS! I love it and it never disappoints me in any recipe. You don’t need much. I didn’t marinate these wings beforehand, I simply brushed on the sauce after I pressure-cooked my wings for ten minutes. I never had to remove the wings to do that step.

Our teenage son said these are almost as good as a Buffalo Chicken wing (where we are originally from). That’s a pretty good rating from a teen who knows his wings.

BBQ chicken wings in the Ninja Foodi
Ingredients
- 2.5 lbs. Chicken wings (frozen)
- Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Using the metal trivet rack the Foodi comes with, place that inside the Foodi. Add one cup of water to the pot. Add the bag of wings to the trivet rack. Set on High Pressure Manual for 10 minutes. Let it natural release for 2 minutes and then do a quick release.
- Open lid carefully. I then added some sweet baby rays to a bowl and used a basting brush to coat the wings on all sides generously. Lower crisping lid, and set to broil for 10 minutes. Check on your wings and if you want them crispier, simply add more time. ENJOY!

Am I using the pressure cooker and then the crisper on this recipe?
Hey Suzzanne! Yes, you pressure cook and then broil using the crisper lid.
