Hello there friends! Today I tried a little experiment in the Ninja Foodi. I have made Scotch Eggs in the oven before and you can see that traditional recipe HERE. Scotch eggs consist of hard-boiled eggs wrapped in sausage and then coated in bread crumbs. I did not do the bread crumbs for this recipe in the Ninja Foodi.

For this recipes you only need eggs, sausage, and HP sauce. The HP sauce is a must, or you can use a good steak sauce if you can’t find the HP.

Scotch Eggs in the Ninja Foodi

Scotch eggs could be considered picnic food, brunch side, a lunch, and even a dinner served with a side salad or veggies of choice. Making this recipe in the Ninja Foodi using my EGG BITE MOLDS was a breeze. BUT, keep in mind, this recipe stands the same for any Pressure cooker. If you don’t do the last step, simply add a minute or two to time in the pressure cooker. No mess, and more than half the time it takes in the oven. Plus I didn’t even have to boil the eggs beforehand. I almost forgot to mention this recipe is KETO friendly!

Just be sure when making this recipe you do lightly spray the inner mold with a non-stick butter spray. This will ensure your scotch eggs easily pop right on out. Scotch eggs are just one of many fun and tasty bites you can make using egg bite molds. FIND over 30 recipes using egg bite molds HERE.

Using a table spoon, scoop sausage and form around the bottom of the mold. Be sure to spread evenly and firm.

Crack your egg and drop on top of sausage in cavity of mold.

Add one cup of water to the Ninja Foodi. Set on mold on a trivet with handles, then lower down into Foodi. Set on High Pressure for 12 minutes. Do a quick release of the steam and when the pin drops carefully remove the pressure cooker lid. Lower down the Air Crisp lid and set on 350 degrees for an additional 5 minutes. This will ensure your sausage is cooked and add a little more golden brown to the top of your egg yolk.

Remove from Pot and set to cool for approximately 5 minutes. Pop Scotch eggs and get that HP sauce out. ENJOY!
